Unbox and Prepare Carefully unbox your Alumo Lighting Kit, including the LED Strip, Aluminium Channels & Cable Cover. The channels are supplied in sections of up to 1m in length, while the LED strip is a single continuous piece, precisely cut to your specified measurement.
Test Fit Before Installation Before removing any adhesive, position the aluminium channels and LED strip beneath the intended installation area to confirm the fit and accuracy of your order. This step ensures a flawless alignment before you begin permanent installation.
Mount the Aluminium Channels Peel away the protective film from the pre-applied 3M adhesive and begin adhering each channel to the underside of your cabinetry. Apply medium, even pressure for 10–15 seconds to secure firm contact before moving on to the next section. For a clean, continuous appearance, ensure each channel is butted neatly against the previous one.
Install the LED Strip Once all channels are secured, remove the adhesive backing from the LED strip and carefully press it into place along the channel, maintaining consistent alignment throughout.
Attach the Diffusers Snap the diffusers into position, working from left to right. For a refined, seamless aesthetic, we recommend staggering the joins between the diffusers and the channels so they do not align.
Connect the Power Supply Install the Alumo Cable Cover by removing the adhesive backing and affixing it along the bench corner for a tidy, professional finish. Route the power cable neatly inside the cover and connect it to a nearby power outlet.
Test and Illuminate Switch the power on and confirm the LED strip lights operate as expected. Test the dimming function (if applicable) to ensure smooth control and consistent illumination.
